Before the year ends, the IHNF extends its warmest congratulations to Prof. Leila S. Africa, RND, PhD for being awarded as the 2023 Most Outstanding Country Winner by the Asian Food and Agriculture Cooperation Initiative – AFACI.
Prof. Africa is the Project Leader of the Asian Food Composition Database Project together with Study/Activity Leaders, Assoc. Prof. Marie Faye R. Nguyen-Orca, PhD and Asst. Prof. Divine Grace C. Domingo, RND, MSc, and Project Staff Ms. Angela May E. ReaΓ±o, RND, MSc.
The AFCD aims to preserve Asian regional food culture and biodiversity through collaborated efforts among AFACI member countries and help increase the value of agricultural food resources, manage the supply and demand of agricultural products, process and develop agricultural food resources, and establish a national nutritional management plan by providing nutritional information from AFACI member countries.
